CT Science Center

We had a great time at the Connecticut Science Center with Nanny and Papa. I can't believe that we had never been here before!

We all built a car using weights and raced them to see which would be the fastest.  It looks like Teddy is winning!

Michael and Teddy are using air to push a beach ball into the air and into a hoop.  The only person who couldn't make a basket was Shana.

Monster truck rally

What could be more American than a monster truck rally! Papa and Nanny took us to Monster Jam while we were home and we had a great time. Teddy really loves cars and this was a dream come true for him.

To Grandmother's house we go!

Teddy, Nanny and I had such a wonderful trip to visit Grandma Dorothy, Aunt Mary Ann, and all of our wonderful family in Butler, PA.

This is a picture of Grandma Dorothy, her two daughters, their three children, and all six great grandchildren.

While we were in Butler, Mary Ann suggested that we visit this really cool toy store called Playthings Etc.

The store is shaped like a spaceship.  Here are the girls and Teddy hanging out by the front door.  Teddy doesn't know it yet, but he got some wonderful presents from this place!

We drove to Mars, PA where Nanny and Aunt Mary Ann grew up for some fun on the spaceship.  This is a special picture because Shana has several photos from when she was little (and a bit bigger) in front of this space ship.



We also attended a Butler Blue Sox game with the Murray family.  We had such a fun time and Teddy got to meet their mascot, the Blue Bull!



Although Teddy looks like he is sleeping, he is actually just pretending.  I couldn't resist trying to get a shot of Grandma Dorothy, Nanny and Teddy.



Grandma Dorothy lives in an assisted living facility and Teddy had a great time rolling around the hallways on a walker, pushed by cousin Spencer.  Teddy thinks that Spencer is the coolest person on the planet!

Molly Bates

Michael's third cousin was spending the summer in New York so we invited her to spend the weekend at the lake. We had such a fun time with Molly and we hope she will visit again soon.

Orvis

When we visited Popop and Mimi in Vermont, we went to Orvis to see the fish. We ended up stopping at the entrance to check out the giant bear.

Cake decorating

Nanny and Papa decided that it would be fun to decorate a race car cake for Teddy. The little man wanted to get in on the action by decorating some cookies.  Also, please note that he is still wearing his Batman pajamas!

Teddy is currently obsessed with dinosaurs so we had to make a trip into New York to see some!

Teddy loved spending the summer with Sebastian and Lottie. His favorite part was sleeping with Lottie...although it wasn't Lottie's favorite part!

Russell family fireworks

We had another family fireworks display this year! We started with sparklers and the went on to fireworks off the float. It was the perfect night for our little boys to enjoy the fireworks.

This is how Teddy watched the fireworks.  Even though they were only little fireworks, he still covered his ears.  Too cute!

To celebrate Peter's 40th birthday, we all went to Tanglewood to see James Taylor live. We had a wonderful picnic on the lawn. Can we go again next year?

Time to catch up on our summer fun!

Teddy spent most of the summer hanging out by the lake. There was so much to see and do! He especially loved playing in the boats with his cousins and Daddy.
