First Pitch of the Baseball Season

Teddy's team, the Diamondbacks, lost their season opener today but Teddy had a great game. He got a triple, he pitched well, and he even dove for an out!

Hartford Yard Goats

We had an awesome evening out at the Hartford Yard Goats game with Uncle Peter!

The boys even got to run the bases after the game.

The weather has been beautiful for baseball this season. My parents got to see Teddy play baseball a few times during their two and a half weeks in Dubai. Today they also got to see Ripley get in on the action as the official bat boy for the game. What a little cutie!

Hartford Yard Goats

We had an awesome night out in Hartford, CT with the Hartford Yard Goats baseball team. Michael got a special invitation to watch batting practice before the ballpark opened. Teddy was really excited to be a VIP!

We got to sit anywhere we wanted during batting practice!

Teddy and Hilary even caught balls during batting practice!

One of the security guards even let Teddy go out onto the field for a photo.

And then he showed us the best spot for Teddy to stand so that he would get autographs.

Teddy got two autographs by players!

On the way up to our seats, someone asked Teddy if he wanted to say "Play Ball" at the very beginning of the game. He was very excited to go onto the field at the beginning of the game.

Teddy did a great job saying, "Play Ball!" He was very proud of himself and we were so excited to see him on the big screen!

Baseball

We were very proud that Teddy made the all-star baseball team in his league. He was on the Dubai White team. The boys played hard and, although they didn't win the tournament, they had a lot of fun!

Baseball Tournament 2017

Teddy was invited to the Dubai All-Star team as a member of the white team. We are so proud that he was one of four kids selected from the Braves to play on the All-Star team. The boys played four games over the course of three days.

Hitting a big one!

He always has the right form!

The kids won second place and received silver medals. We are so proud of Teddy who played so hard the whole weekend.

Night Game at DLL

We had such a fun night at the Dubai Little League fields. Teddy had never had a "night game" before (if you consider 4pm a night game) and he said he felt like a real baseball player.

A great hit!

Hanging with his teammates before being announced in front of the crowd.

The whole team out on the field.

The coach announced Teddy as the only player who had hit a homerun during the season and the team's captain!

LA Dodgers at Dubai Little League

Not every Little League is sponsored by Emirates Airlines, who just happen to also sponsor the LA Dodgers. How amazing that our kids got to meet a few professional players!
