Tunxis Adventure Week: Preschool Program

This was the second year of Tunxis Adventure Week and the first year for the preschool program.  I was thrilled to plan activities for the under 5 Tunxis kids so that they would feel part of the experience.  We had three campers, including Ripley, and we had a ton of fun this week.

Hiking

This year, we thought Ripley was finally old enough to hike all around the lake on his own.  Both boys did a great job on the hike.

Fire Engines, Helicopters, and Hummers

The boys were so thrilled to sit in some of the vehicles at the Tolland Public Safety Complex.  

First up, a helicopter!

And then a hummer!

We had such a fun morning with Papa and Nanny exploring not only these vehicles, but also three fire engines and some ATVs.  Thank you so much to Papa who knows all of the firemen and policemen in Tolland so the boys could have such a fun adventure!

Lottie Love

We had such an amazing weekend with the Brennan family.  While the boys love spending time with their cousins, they also love Lottie!

Out in the 413!

We decided to explore Springfield, MA today to show the boys all the fun things we loved doing when we lived in the area.  We started by going to the Springfield Museums to visit the newly opened Dr. Seuss Museum.

We then headed over to the Natural History Part of the museum because Ripley is currently obsessed with Dinosaurs!

We then went across the river to West Springfield to have lunch at White Hut!

Action Wildlife Park

We had such a wonderful time with Nanny and Papa at Action Wildlife Park in Goshen, CT, which is a drive through animal park.  The boys thought that it was amazing to see so many different types of animals in one place.

We then went to the petting zoo where the boys could feed the animals with baby bottles.  It was a huge hit!
