On our drive to Aqaba we had to slow down for a big camel crossing. How fun!
We arrived at the Movenpick Tala Bay Beach Resort in Aqaba just in time to enjoy some pool time and dinner. Here are a few pictures of the resort on our walk to watch the sun set at dinner.
The sun was setting over Egypt, which was right across the Red Sea. Within just a few kilometers of the resort was Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Israel. It was pretty cool being so close to such diverse and amazing countries.
We ate dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant. The waitresses were so nice to the kids because they are VERY cure and we were the only people in the restaurant. Ripley loved showing off for them with his camel, Girl Sam!
When we went back to our room, we found that the towels had been made into swans. Ripley loved them and wanted his picture taken with them.
We didn't take too many pictures at the resort because we loved just spending time together at the pool, but here is a nice one of Teddy enjoying the sun.
Every afternoon between 3pm and 4pm, the hotel hosted a free chocolate hour where you can have as much free chocolate as you want. I thought Teddy was going to keel over when he found out. He really tested the limit of the amount of chocolate they would give him. Good job, Teddy!
We loved having a buffet breakfast every morning. Teddy's favorite type of food is "buffet." Here we are at the buffet on our last morning.
