Happy Halloween

Teddy as Optimus Prime from Transformers! Martha Stewart probably wouldn't approve of our homemade costume but we thought it was pretty cool.

Haircut...Korean style!

Teddy got his first haircut in Seoul this afternoon. It was a very different experience from his usual $3 haircuts in Taipei. The highlight was that he got his hair washed twice!

Gangnam Style!

This is what happens when you get a free Sy mask at the store!

Little Things I Love About Seoul

I love walking down the street and finding foods and spices being dried on the sidewalk. I found these hot peppers being dried right outside our building. Yummy!

Dream Forest

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and went to Dream Forest, which is a huge park right near our house. It was packed with people who were also enjoying the Indian Summer.

These boots were made for walking

Teddy wanted to wear my boots to school on dress down day. They were way too big for him but we had fun trying them on!

Sentences!

Teddy is doing a great job in school this year. His reading is coming along and he is starting to write lots of sentences. Here is the first homework we did together where he had to answer questions about his reading. We are very proud!

Our Walk to School

We are about a 10 minute walk from school and have a nice little walk every morning. Teddy and Michael are up ahead. They are moving quicker then me these days!

Hi Seoul Festival

We were having brunch with some friends and happened upon a huge outdoor festival in downtown Seoul. It's hard to categorise exactly what the festival was for because we moved between green living initiatives, to outdoor theatre, to a moving motorcycle parade, to sidewalk chalk art, to a street movie theatre, to a car show.

Here is a shot of people lounging in the street on blow up mattresses. We guess they were waiting for a movie to start but it was hard to tell. No matter what they were doing, they looked comfy!

We also walked through a moving motorcycle parade that looked and sounded a little more like thunder dome!
