Teddy loves the book series Percy Jackson. In the book Percy Jackson is the son of the God Poseidon. His mom makes him blue food so that he always remembers his roots in the sea. I wanted to do the same for Teddy on his 10th birthday!

The boys had a great time at the Ninja Warrior obstacle course at the Dubai Sports Complex.

Teddy entered a summer reading challenge through the Mount Pleasant Library and ended up winning a huge bag of books.

Tunxis Flotilla

This summer we hosted the Tunxis Flotilla.  A big group met in the middle of the lake to eat delicious appetizers and have a drink together.  Despite the stormy weather of the day, the sun came out just in time for the fun.

Saying Goodbye

It is always hard to say goodbye, and always especially hard to say goodbye to Aunt Hilly.  We love you and we hope to see you soon!

Northampton

Every summer we take a pilgrimage to Northampton, MA to eat Herrell's Ice Cream, shop at Faces, and to talk about how we want to live in Northampton forever!

Fall is Falling

Dimitri

Almost 30 years ago, the Russell family hosted Dimitri for a year as their Foreign Exchange Student.  While we have stayed in touch with him over the years, this was the first time the entire family has gotten together at the lake.  We had a wonderful weekend during which we played in the water together, shared French and English words, and ate delicious meals together.  

We can't wait to get together with this beautiful family again soon!

PA Family

I always love visiting my family in Western Pennsylvania.  This summer we decided to spend a fun day in Pittsburgh exploring this super funky city.

Our first stop was Randyland.  From the mind of Randy Gilson, this street artist has created a beautiful painted courtyard filled with messages of happiness and lots of cooky imagination.

We then went to Church Works Brewery, a brewery and restaurant in an old church!

We then went to visit my Great Aunt Velma.  She looks amazing at 89 years young!

We also had dinner with the whole family at my cousin's house.  It was a beautiful night filled with more than a few laughs.  I am so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful family.

Russell Cousins

What an awesome weekend with three of the Russell cousins and their families.  We hope to see them at the lake again next summer!

Will Porter in Hair

It was an absolute honor to see my Dad's Godson, Will Porter, perform in Hair at the Berkshire Theater.  What an awesome night watching an amazing show!
