Spring Break Day 7

We started the day by having everyone watch Ripley's Rugby practice at Dubai College.

We then drove to Motion Gate Dubai to enjoy a fun afternoon at the amusement park.

Spring Break Day 6

Today we drove to Abu Dhabi to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

I had to wear an abaya and a head scarf. 

We also went to the Date Market and filled our car with tons of dates...not all of them made it home!

Spring Break Day 5

We had a super fun day at LEGOLAND Waterpark!

Spring Beak Day 3

We went to IHOP at the Dubai Mall for breakfast on the patio overlooking the Burj Khalifa.  After that, we explored the Mall with it's indoor ice skating rink, the most complete set of dinosaur bones ever found and a two story aquarium.  We decided to go into the aquarium, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.

The kids loved seeing King Croc and taking a photo in the large display croc!

After visiting the aquarium, we drove out to the desert of Al Faqua and went camping.

Spring Break Day #1

Our very good friends, the Kowalec family, visited us this year from Taiwan for Spring Break.  They arrived early Saturday morning after an all-night flight so we decided to have a lazy day at Kite Beach to start our adventure together.

Cyprus

I was thrilled to be invited to visit the University of Nicosia Medical School in Cyprus for a week before Spring Break.  I had a wonderful time visiting the school and I learned a lot about the university community and the Island of Cyprus.  Cyprus is the 43rd country I have traveled to.

Of course, I had to try the local beer!

We did a lot of eating.  Thank you to the wonderful admissions people who treated us to many lovely meals together.

I loved all of the fruit growing everywhere.  This beautiful orange tree was at my hotel.

Teddy's Tribe

Teddy has a great group of friends this year at DAA.  They are all in class together and four of them have been in the same class since 2nd grade.

Dubai Safari Park

Michael had to coach this morning so the boys and I decided to check out the new Dubai Safari Park.  We had an awesome visit seeing animals from all around the world.  

Ripley insisted on having his photo taken in this sculpture with his favorite stuffed animal (stuffie), Mr. Crocodile.
