Ripley's KG2 Promotion Ceremony

We are so proud of our little Ripley Roo who is "graduating" from Dubai American Academy's KG2 program.  He is off to Kindergarten in the US in the fall.  Here are a few pictures from the fun morning celebrating these little cuties.

Bucket List Day: Dubai Edition

We had a wonderful Saturday checking a few items off our bucket list.  First, Ripley and I went to the beach for our last swim in the Arabian Sea.

We then went to the Dubai Frame, which is new to the city and we have heard is a wonderful thing to see.

We went up 150 meters in 55 seconds to the top of the frame to view the city.  The old part of the city is on the left of the frame and the new part of the city is on the right (surprisingly photos from the top didn't turn out well).

The middle of the floor was glass that looked all the way down to the ground.  I was afraid to walk over it at first but, of course, Michael and Ripley loved it.  Teddy...not so much!

We took this fun selfie on the exterior of the frame, which is gold with Arabic lettering.

After visiting the Frame, we did a few things that I didn't take pictures of.  We had a light lunch at the Arabian Tea House before heading to the Dubai Mall for a bigger lunch (lunch #2 at our favorite chicken place) and getting my name in Arabic lettering on a necklace.  We also picked up a teapot because why not!

Fifth Grade Graduation

A huge congratulations to Teddy and all of his fifth grade friends on their graduation last week. What a wonderful morning celebrating their exciting year!

Big Haircut

After growing his hair for a whole year, Teddy got it all cut off for his fifth grade graduation. Boy, were his friends surprised! 

Istanbul: Day 4

What an awesome last day in Istanbul! We started at the palace (pictures coming soon) and worked our way over to the world famous Pudding Shop.

We then wandered the streets and found another wonderful cistern beneath the city. 

This one was much better lit! 

We then wandered into a carpet shop and left with a little souvenir! Just one! 

Our last stop was the Blue Mosque which was packed and under construction, but photos coming soon!
