Great-Grandparents

We were so fortunate to be able to visit Michael's grandparents this summer. This was the first time in two years that they have seen Teddy and the first time they met Ripley. It was such a wonderful afternoon filled with family and fun. A true highlight of the summer!

Anniversary Date

For our tenth wedding anniversary, we went to Infinity Hall to hear one if our favorite singers, Josh Ritter. We had a fun night filled with amazing music and a wonderful dinner...and maybe even Shana's favorite beer, Smuttynose!

10th Wedding Anniversary

On a June 19th, we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. Can it really have been ten years? It felt like ten minutes! We have done so much with our time together - two beautiful children, eighteen amazing countries, and far too many adventures to name. I love you, Michael!

First Lost Tooth!

Teddy lost his first tooth on June 19th. He has been waiting to lose one for quite a while as everyone in his class lost one during the school year. Not only did Teddy get a visit from the tooth fairy but she also called him to tell him what to do with the tooth! Such a fun day!

Oh, Deer!

We were fortunate enough to share our summer lake house with a special visitor this summer...a deer! We hadn't seen deer at the lake before so we were very surprised to see our deer several times throughout the summer. How fun!

Lego Land Date!

Teddy and I went on a special date to Lego Land in Yonkers to celebrate being back in the United States. We had so much fun riding the rides and creating Lego race cars. We even got to train to be Ninjago Warriors!

Ripley's Blessing

Since Ripley was baptised in Korea, we wanted to do something special at Lynn and Pete's church in Pleasantville. We had a special blessing for him that was attended by the entire Russell family and the Grannan Grandparents. This was the first time that we have all been together in two years!

Goodbye Seoul!

Here are a few photos from our last evening in Seoul with friends this school year.

Our good friend, Sophia, and her husband, Matt, are moving to Southern China next school year. We are going to miss these very good friends!

More good friends, Suanne and Sean, and their two sons, Shane and Seth, are moving to Hong Kong. How do you say goodbye to such wonderful people?

We will also miss our good friend Nathan who is moving to Kuwait with his family.

Luckily, we don't have to say goodbye to these wonderful ladies and adorable Logan.
