Happy Birthday, Teddy!

No kid likes to celebrate their birthday on the first day of school, but that's what happened to Teddy this year. His birthday fell during New Student Orientation at our new school, Dubai American Academy.

We celebrated with presents before school, cake by the pool with his new friend, Marco, after school, and a trip to the water park the day after his birthday!

Mosque

There are only two Mosques in the city that are open to the public.  Dubai American Academy took all of the new teachers to one of them for an open discussion on living in Dubai, which included talks about food, clothing, multiple wives (yes, you can have four wives in the UAE), and religion.
