Thailand is fabulous. you can wander around Bangkok for several days and never see it all. If you go to the mountains [Chiang Mai] it will be an entirely different experience from the bustle of Bangkok. Do take river tour in Bangkok and you don't need a paid guide[tout?] for the main historical structures. Wonderful fabrics, super food[don't do street vendors], due to traffic it taks double the normal time to get anywhere but it's park of the experience. ENJOY "uncle" Bob
