Iftar at the Ritz

To say goodbye to everyone at the end of the year, our school hosted a traditional Iftar meal (the evening meal at sunset to break the Ramadan fast) at the Ritz Carlton. It was such a fun night filled with lots of "see you laters" and some truly wild food.

This is the wall of Islamic geometrics and tea sets that greeted us as we entered the ballroom.
Inside the Ritz ballroom.
A beautiful tower made out of dates.
The hummus fountain.
Arabic sushi - meat and falafel instead of fish!
Making hummus ice cream.
A big pot of meat!
A beautiful chocolate sculpture.
