A few hours of sleep later, we caught a puddle jumper to Christchurch where we caught this amazing picture out of the plane window of the North tip of the South Island. We will be camping here in a few days!
We then took a shuttle to our camper van. The camper van wasn't ready so we borrowed a car to grab groceries. Of course, while we were at the grocery store, there was a fire and the store was evacuated. That would only happen to us!
Four hours after arriving at the camper van rental location, we were off! Two hours of driving through beautiful New Zealand and we found our camping spot in Kaikora. We had just enough time to play and make dinner before the sun set.
