Wharariki Beach - Day 2

We met up with our friend from Dubai, Jay, to explore the beach and the surrounding lands the second day.  He took us down a different path to the beach which wound through farmlands and forests.

We ended up on the far end of the beach from where we started the day before. We tried to hit the beach at low tide so that we could make it through all of the rock formations.

We found more seals. Silly, Teddy!

And very cool mussels hanging off the rocks.

We even got some fun shots of us all on the beach.

We then got stuck under a rock arch while it rained and we waited for the tide to go out so we could get to the beach. It was cold and rainy but we had a great time eating lunch and enjoying each others company.

We were very excited when the tide let us into the beach and through a tunnel to make it to the main beach. We decided to take some more silly photos.

We even found more seals!

We then decided to hike back to the camp site stopping for the view and a few last beach shots.

After resting for a while at the campsite, we hiked away from the beach toward the cliffs.
